Family Hits Back At Attorney's Claim Mom Received Medical Treatment After Going Missing

The family and friends of missing Fairfield County mother of five Jennifer Farber Dulos say claims that she sought medical treatment since she was reported missing are "absurd."

The claim was made by Attorney Norm Pattis, who represents, Jennifer Dulos' estranged husband, Fotis Dulos.

Pattis dropped the bombshell theory while filing a renewed motion requesting the missing woman's medical records based on insurance billing records, which they claim shows Jennnifer Dulos was billed for treatment on Jully 7.

Jennifer Dulos has not been seen since she dropped off her children in school on Friday, May 24 in New Canaan.

Pattis revealed that Fotis Dulos had come into possession of a medical bill that says she sought treatment on July 7, for "reproductive services," in the renewed motion.

Family spokeswoman and a friend of Jennifer Dulos, Carrie Luft says the continuing types of claims are "cruel."

"Yet again, the allegations by Mr. Dulos’s attorney blame the victim and inflict pain on her family and loved ones," said Luft.

The motion goes on to say that "if Ms. Dulos herself did, as the bill suggests, receive medical services on July 7, 2019, she is obviously alive, if not well."

Luft said the insurance claim in question, dated July 7, 2019, is for an auto-billed quarterly fee with no connection to in-person services—the Anthem claims summary in Mr. Dulos’s possession lists this same charge every three months.

"To allege that Jennifer obtained medical treatment in July is absurd. To allege that Jennifer—together with her family—orchestrated her own disappearance is baseless and cruel," Luft added.

Fotis Dulos and his former lover, Michelle Troconcis, have been arrested twice for tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution after they were seen dumping garbage bags that later were found to have items that contained the blood of Jennifer Dulos.

Both have pleaded not guilty and are free on bail.

New Canaan Police and Connecticut State Police are continuing their search for Jennifer Dulos.
